Glossary:

Tercio: a bullfight is divided in three thirds, each of them is a “tercio” in Spanish, the first one, tercio de varas (where the capote and horses take place), tercio de banderillas and tercio de muleta (wher the muleta and death take place) .

Capote: the pink and yellow cloak used at the beginning of the bullfight.

Banderillas: 80cm sticks dressed with decorative paper and a harpoon in one end

Banderillero: the man who pins t  he banderillas on the bull

Muleta: the red cloak used at the end of the bullfight

Toreo a pie: is a man-bull fighting where the man is  on his feet.

Paseillo: the entrance of the three bullfighters together with the bullfight crew (helpers, assistants, horse-men)

Puya: large stick with a harpoon at the end

Picador: the horse-man that intervenes in the tercio de varas and is the one who hands the puya

Jefe the puyas: the person belonging to the bullring authority that makes sure that the puya has the correct meassures

Puntillero:  the man with a knife that appears at the end of the bullfight

Presidente de plaza: the president of the bullring who decides what bulls are accepted and what prices do the bullfighters win

Inspector de plaza: member of the bullring authority who is encharged  to keep the order within the bullring

Jefe de callejón: member of the bullring authority who puts people in place and controls the space between the arena and the public, known as callejón

Veterinario titular: the head veterinary who evaluates the bulls
